I am the creative force behind the development, management, and execution of outreach events with a planetary science focus. At the core of my approach is a profound belief that behind every scientific endeavour lies a human story waiting to be shared. In my narratives, I place a special emphasis on highlighting the remarkable contributions of women in science and giving a voice to underrepresented demographics. To infuse authenticity and relatability, I weave my personal journey as an astrobiology researcher into these events.

During my doctoral research in astrobiology, I embarked on a collaborative research endeavour with the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. This collaboration was driven by my exploration of a cell preservation technique widely employed in cancer research—an ingenious method involving the use of extremely cold salt glasses to encase biological cells, thereby preserving them. However, my approach was uniquely anchored in the realm of astrobiology. The salts I investigated are commonly detected on the Martian surface. This pioneering effort culminated in an extraordinary achievement—a world-first endeavour where I encapsulated bacteria within Mars-analog salt glasses.

This narrative, often characterized by the moniker “alien hunter” in colloquial public discourse, showcases the harmonious fusion of scientific principles that are not only understandable but also emotionally resonant. My approach of applying these principles to a quest as otherworldly as the search for extraterrestrial life, has demonstrated to captivate and excite audiences. It is stories like these that kindle the flame of enthusiasm for science within individuals.

My commitment to fostering this excitement extends beyond the physical events themselves. I diligently share event content through social media channels and collaborative platforms, ensuring that the impact reverberates far and wide.
