As a scientist, I interested in one question: How life evolved and what controls them. Consequently, I am currently investigating a set of new biochemical feedbacks that might controls the evolution of life on Earth through the lens of oxygen, carbon dioxide, phosphorus, silica and iodine. During my PhD, I also studies a subset of this question that concerns the definitive atmospheric oxygen level during the Proterozoic, by developing a new model, a new paradigm, and a new proxy. This is because atmospheric oxygen can be regarded as a measure for biosphere, such that it serves as a good proxy of “what had happened”.
