I am a PhD candidate in Celli Hull’s lab studying the environmental drivers of change/species turnover in marine planktic foraminifera communities, and how these drivers differ both spatially and temporally (particularly in the face of anthropogenic climate change). In my work I am interested in how regional signals of change fit into or differ from global patterns, and focus on the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean regions.
Though my background is in paleoceanography and micropaleontology, my recent work with modern ecology concepts and working with modern planktic foram assemblages has been a lot of fun!
